Saturday morning visit to this market, some great street food stalls, 3 euros for 2 coffees from the cafe bar in the centre. Had a light snack from one of the many street food stalls of which there are quite a few. Top quality food at excellent prices, only downside is the constant pestering from the lucky lucky brigade trying to sell you bags of garlic. Apart from that!

Such a wonderful place to slow down at while in Rome. We were able to grab a few bites to eat while here and it felt unrushed. Lots of people just doing their own thing. Ended up visiting more than once to try all the food we saw. Definitely recommend if are travelling and would like some place to eat or shop that isn't expensive.

Testsccio market is absolutely awesome. It's a must-see location for any real foodie. There are tons of fresh foods, prepared foods, produce, meats, cheeses, breads, pastas, and sweets. Pick a stall that looks good and get something. But they also have clothing, gifts, and household items, along with wines, oils, and balsamic vinegars. It really is awesome.

About half of the market is shops selling things like plants, jewelry, shoes, leather goods, clothing and the other half is food stalls (split between prepared foods and foods to take home and prepare). Worth visiting for an afternoon!

This must be the Les Halle of Rome. It has a staggering variety of produce, meats -- cured and fresh -- wines and housewares. Mostly aimed at large scale buyers you can still buy small quantities. Beware there are no cafes to enjoy the wares on site.
