We ate at Thai Square in London. The food was excellent, as usual. We chose the crispy duck with pancakes then a chicken and prawn rice dish. The bill was slightly north of £40 which we thought was good value.
I went to the Thai Square Angel for a meal with a friend, the service was quick and unobtrusive, the portions a really good size plus they have a helpful 'chef recommends' section on the menu which we both ordered from and the cost was reasonable, I'd definitely go there again
A wonderful meal - we enjoyed swift service and excellent food from the silver set menu. A bit too much to finish - we were offered to take away the remainder to enjoy the next day. Great value and a lovely calming ambience in the Angel restaurant. Will return.
We ate at Thai Square in London. The food was delicious but the restaurant was busier than usual so service was a bit slow.
We found the food at Thai Square, Angel, a little less appealing than at the South Kensington branch, where we have eaten several times. This might be due to our choice, however. Still, it was tasty and the service pleasant and efficient.
It seems extremely difficult to experience a decent Thai restaurant in London, Thai Square failed to break that pattern. Tom yum goong soup was nicely spiced but lacked enough vegetables and meat. Beef Jungle curry was ok flavoursome wise but the beef was of very poor quality, it may save the restaurant money but it ruins the dish. The rest was ok. The waitress was fairly grumpy even though it was lunchtime and empty and in my opinion lacked any kind of attractiveness or warmth. Shame.
Good food, pleasant service (slightly rushed but OK), reasonably priced. Would recommend it.
Went to Thai Square on a last minute outing and barely missed the set menu deal that they offer. The food was a bit hit or miss. My partner claimed that his tom yum and chicken dishes lacked flavor and were bland. My curry was acceptable, but was nothing special and I feel that I could eat better at other Thai restaurants nearby for less. However, the ambience was nice and tables spaced out well.
Had a nice meal with friends in Thai Square, Angel. Took advantage of the early bird menu which is 2 courses for £10.95. Good choice of dishes and good standard thai food. It's a pity the service was a bit rushed on occasion, we had to specifically ask for the early bird menu, and we were made to feel very rushed while ordering. Otherwise a good quality and reasonable value thai meal.
