First time visiting this particular Thai Square, was impressed by the food service could have been better and felt that the bill turned out very expensive.
Thai Square in Putney was really enjoyable. Apart from the fact that they had lost our reservation, we had a really nice time. Lovely setting and lovely views across the river. Was a bit disappointed that the dish i had last time (steak with pepper sauce) was no longer available but the food was still good.
I had not eatern at the Thai Square for a number of years but its standards have not fallen. The food was amazing but slightly slow service due to being at full capacity due to the football being played at Fulham. Highly recommended!
The food was exceptionally delicious (especially the garlic prawns) and the service very friendly to begin with, however, after our main course we waited 45 mins for pudding and then when the bill eventually came we had been over charged by £45!!
Thai Square in Putney is a great restaurant in a lovely location by the river. Very nice food and good ambience.
Thai Square on Putney Bridge in London is a Room with a View. Beautiful surroundings, charming, if slightly erratic, service make it a great place for a celebration. The tuna carpaccio was delicious as were the garlic prawns but the food was let down by the red chicken curry. Funny how very few Thai restaurants can do a really good thai curry. The rest of the food was moderately good but it is really the view that makes it special.
We went to Thai Square Putney on a very busy Friday evening, the atmosphere was very buzzy. The 4 of us picked the £40 set menu, the starters were mainly very good although some of them incl the chicken skewers looked at something from a supermarket freezer section. The mains were all wonderful but desserts were an absolute let down - a small scope of bad chocolate ice cream, a lump of "cream" from a can, and half a piece of tinned peach!!! Even a piece of fruit would have been better.
Lovely warm welcome and great service. The food was great. We went for the £40 menu so that we could try lots of different things and everything was delicious.
THAI SQUARE IS GREAT, i LVOE TE LOCATION, VENUE AND OF COURSE THE FOOD, THE VALUE IS GREAT ALSO, THE PORTIONS ARE A GREAT SIZE!! PERFECT VENUE FOR EITHER LUNCH OR DINNER, I USE IT A LOT FOR BUSINESS LUNCHES TOO!
