Beautiful historical building, lake view, and wonderful location No thermostat in room so couldn’t control the temperature and got very warm. Pillows weren’t the comfiest Wonderful location, view, & price, beautiful historic building!

Nice location The building is a bit old but does what is required. The location was ideal for using public transport to get around the city.
Great location with history, was a better destination in the past. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, such as the shower/tub looked like it needed some TLC and extra cleaning. The biggest issue I encountered with my stay was the posted hours in the amenity book in the room, and hours online for the hotel restaurants and room service are incorrect, which was really irritating. Everything closed earlier than posted and there was nothing on the website or posted in the hotel to inform guests of this inconvenience. H... read more
Comfortable stay in a beautiful historic hotel close to Chicagos top sights the hallways could use some art. A very historic hotel, with a beautiful lobby and “Gold Room” in a great location! I also chose this hotel because of the ghost stories and always wanted to stay in a “haunted hotel”

Wonderful One of the luggage porters was rude. Phone in our room is finicky due to an almost broken cable. No microwave is a bummer Great location. Nice fountain view with such a good value. Pretty confortable.
