A delightful place to spend our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Breakfast buffet in the cafe was not a good value for $25/person. I would have preferred an ala carte menu to a buffet. Buffet items were scanty and a little odd (Spaghetti for breakfast? Maybe that's a Chicago thing?) The location and view were fantastic. The pillows were supportive and the bedding was comfortable. The furnishings were elegant and the bathroom was spacious and clean.

Ask if you're in the extension. I was booked in an extension to the building, in a room and a hallway that was pretty stark. Way lower quality than the regular hotel rooms, but I paid the regular rate.
Exceptional Maintenance personnel can do a little better job on the facility. We also had mold in the shower in both of our rooms. Great location and the history.
