For my birthday we decided to go to The Cove Restaurant. Based on the pictures and reviews, it seemed like a no-brainer, and the weather was perfect. With a 4:30 reservation, I assumed that service would be efficient, and there was only 1 other table occupied at the early seating. Drinks came quickly, but aside from a Caesar Salad my wife & I split, no bread or small bits were offered, so my sister in law & her husband sat for about 30 minutes with nothing. The vibe of the restaurant is very nice but the food wasn’t as good as the instagram pictures and service was slow even for a Monday night. At least we were able to swim away at the end of the night!!

We’ve frequented The Cove various times throughout the years and, yesterday, the food was the best it’s been in a very long time - perhaps forever! It was a beautiful day and the ambiance was delightful for our two couples to enjoy brunch. One guest ordered the lobster roll and was told it wasn’t available. Oddly enough a neighboring table served after us did get one. The waiter was nice but the food took over an hour to get to our table. My husband and I were looking for a place on the water to go out to eat. We have been to so many restaurants on Long Island. Who would have thought we could miss this hidden gem? From being seated so quickly to the amazing service and then the food and drinks….highly recommend!! Def coming back- crab cakes were cooked perfectly and I have never had such delicious tzatziki with pita! Lastly the ambiance- such a pretty view!!!

The Cove is a beautiful spot but something is always a miss. Servers forget orders, food not always fresh, techno music is way too loud and doesn’t match the beautiful environment for dinner. Save the techno for Sat. Night and play some jazz or yacht rocks and save our ears at dinner please!
