Worst medical experience of my life. Incompetent staff that can't book an appointment properly, waited an hour and a half before even being seen, provider went and billed me for services not properly rendered and ones I did not ask for after specifically telling her my issues with the insurance plan I'm covered under - noone failed to mention to me in office that I could choose to NOT go through insurance and only be billed $50 instead of the $300+. All Melanie, the provider had to say was "don't worry, we'll find a way to w... read more
I had a list of questions for Dr. Rhee written on my phone. The nurse wanted to know all of them so she could put them “in my chart” or whatever other formality needs to be done on the computer. This was already a bit annoying, because my questions were very specific. When the doctor came in and I told her that I have a list of questions, she literally looked at my phone, without asking for permission, and said, “Let’s see what we have because otherwise we might be stuck here until midnight.” She answered some of my question... read more
I can’t speak to the quality of the care here because I refused to go forward with my new patient visit when I was given a binding arbitration agreement to sign before seeing a doctor. I am a lifelong New Yorker who has raised 4 children here. My wife has a chronic illness and I was the health care proxy for my parents. I have seen many care providers but never before been asked to sign away my legal rights. I’ve never sued anyone but I wouldn’t sign this . Nor should you.
SUMMARY: After several expensive treatments at this office, I was a couple minutes late (though I called and let them know) and Dr. Spizuoco refused to see me *or talk to me* for an appointment I'd scheduled months in advance. I'm not convinced the doctor was even there. They then called me an hour later to say they could "fit me in". I had a treatment with Dr. Spizuoco, my fourth time seeing her. For the first 2 appointments I was over 10 minutes early and wasn't seen until at least 15 minutes
I saw Dr. Spizuoco for a few months to treat keloids. She always recommended surgery, so I called before my next appt. to ask if we could do the procedure or if we should reschedule. Was told I would hear back, never did. Decided to come in person to sort it out, was told I needed to reschedule. Was billed for that visit, as "consultation." Disputed it with Dr, since it should have been a phone call nothing more. Dr refused to rectify situtation. (@ Dr Bobby Buka Greenwich Village Dermatology)
The worst Dermatology ever. I give you tips if you have to go; 1. The booking system is broken: Don't trust their online booking system even you receive a confirmation/reminder email. 2. Be patient in a room I had waited for 45 minutes after I was told "The doctor will come soon" by her assistant 3. Remind them to send the prescription to a pharmacy Before going to the pharmacy, don't forget to call them to ask sending the prescription. Till you asked, they won't do anything.
There's nothing like waking up with flaw-free skin. I truly can't thank Ashton enough. I usually get a few razor bumps when I shave my neck, but when I recently trimmed my beard down to stubble a host of problems popped up. I was left with inflamed red skin and breakouts all underneath my stubble that only got worse with creams and cleansers. Ashton set me up with a few simple products and I was cleared up in 2 days. Now I'm prepared to manage the skin under my beard long term.
Be aware! I've been at his UWS location before once and I liked my experience. I came back to remove a skin tag in the same area as I had before. The doctor told me that it's wart, not a skin tag. I wasn't advice about the price. I had no idea that procedure doesn't guarantee the results. I would NEVER do it if I knew that the cost would be $975 for a 10 minutes visit. And now I have two warts instead of one! It's clearly fraud to make more money on people like me who believe doctors.
Terrible bedside manner. If you have a serious issue I would recommend seeing someone who actually takes time to listen and answer questions. She gave very vague answers and was very condescending in tone and expression. Ugh.
