I came today at 115pm. I placed my to go order at 1:25 when I finally was able to flag a server down while sitting at the bar. At 1:52 I was able to ask where my order was after waiting 25 minutes, she then told me it would be another 10 mins. For a sandwich. When I said I needed to cancel due to having a meeting , the server offered no apology and still make me pay for my beverage o had wheel I waited. I was excited to try the food. Service was horrible

Hi Tonja, I apologize for the long wait over lunch. When the weather is rainy everyone floods in at the same time and our staff does their best to keep up. We do caution customers with a sign at the front door and a pinned post on Facebook that when it's busy you may have to wait 45 mins for your food. The food is average, but be willing to wait for it. I've been here 3 times and never waited less than 40 minutes for my food after ordering. Bummer.
It was a little busy, which I understand however the waitress brought us our ticket before we even received our food! Then didn't check on us again until we were clearly done with our food. I hate to be so critical since I waitress but was disappointed with the service for the price!
Took us almost 2 hours to get our food and our sandwiches barley had anything on them
Normally, this is a ten for me. But, last week it was a zero. Food was stale. Ordered a pulled pork. Had them before and they were delicious. Not this time. Yuk.
It's really unfortunate that I was so excited for the food here.... Because I ordered a drink and an appetizer. I sat and waited for 35 minutes for my drink! It was 1:15 in the afternoon, and I can't be served even my drink? I don't ever complain about service, as I've worked in the service industry. I'm very disappointed in the way things happened today, and we eventually walked out, with not one person noticing.
Not exactly impressed! Any wordsmith can eloquently write a menu. With that said, the buns were spot on, and I heard a table nearby with children fall into a silent trance over some pretzel appetizer. But when "Beer Cheese" comes on a burger, maybe a slight hint of beer would be noticeable. There is much much more to food than just the bread it's served on or in. I could stretch this to 4☆'s for freshly made, but Subway does the same.
My husband and I had lunch at the Good Life Cafe on our vacation after seeing the excellent reviews. We walked in & they were very busy, but had a spot open on the patio so we took it. We waited quite awhile for the server to come by. When she did we ordered waters to drink & our food. She said "sorry we are so busy." We told her we understood & no big deal.
