Atmosphere outside was great tonight. Meal was so good. Hubby had the Kirby burger and said it is one of the best burgers he's had in a long time. He ate it so fast I could only get a photo of his onion rings. Brendan did a great job with service! We frequent Grand Haven often and always stop at The Kirby House.
This is a kind of tricky one to rate. One meal had to be sent back for a couple reasons but once that was addressed the food was good. Pretty solid with a 4 star rating on taste, freshness, and selection. Service was not great. We had 2 servers. The young lady was very nice and accommodating and the young man was rather short and not at all attentive or personable. Delicious! The atmosphere was fantastic, as was the service. The menu had so many good things on it that ir was difficult to make a decision. The bar was very nice too.
We had a lovely dinner at The 1873 restaurant. Our server, Ben, was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was well prepared, the wine selection was nice, and the atmosphere was cozy and modern. We will be back for sure!
Food and drink is really good, something happened with one of our meals and when the food was brought out, we were missing something. The manager came out and apologized, and offered an appetizer for free. Once it was ready we got and they took it off our bill. None of us had any complaints of the food, and the drinks were great!
