Wow, we just had our preview tour of The Laiken, and I'm genuinely so excited. This place isn't just a venue; it has such a unique and amazing vibe. My fiancé and I recently toured The Laiken on Lake Travis, and we are beyond thrilled to have chosen it for our wedding! Reagan is awesome. She has been so openly communicative and punctual. Adjusted our contract accordingly. She even showed us around what is soon to be the most beautiful venue in the Texas Hill Country!! We can’t wait to see it all come to life and we couldn’t be happier with our venue choice.
This review reflects my current and up-to-date experience working with Walters Wedding Estates and their venue, The Laiken. I would not recommend booking this venue at this time to avoid the level of stress and heartache we are currently facing. We booked The Laiken in November 2024, while it was still under construction. Corrupt. There is no way the positive reviews are written by couples who booked this venue. You can tell many used AI. We booked in February 2024 for a May 2025 wedding which was cancelled due to construction delays. Come to find out their permits were lifted and they were unable to build yet collecting pay checks from us. DO NOT BOOK HERE and save yourself the headache. The planning process and venue search should be exciting and they took that from us.

This venue is incredibly corrupt and unprofessional. It’s clear as day they had someone internally write the review below mine to try and cover up the bad ones they’ve started getting recently. If you compare their 5 star reviews they are all suspiciously written in the same tone. Don’t fall for it.

The laiken cancelled on april brides in february. do not book with them unless you want your wedding plans destroyed and burned to the ground. i fell for it when i booked. they will do whatever it takes to convince you and when they do cancel, they will not refund you unless you sign an NDA. any company that does this knows they are wrong and has dark things to hide. they are not certified by the better business bureau for good reason. For your own good, stay away!
