Everything was quick, easy, and comfortable. I only regret not doing this TEN YEARS AGO! A few things to think about... Contact lens wearers, you can not wear your contacts for at least 10 days before surgery. Plan accordingly. Women, you can not wear make up for at least 2 weeks after surgery. Plan accordingly. No swimming, yard work, outdoor activities in the wind, etc., for a few weeks. Plan accordingly. I would do it again in a heart beat! I can't believe how amazing this is to see without contacts.
Overall it was a good experience. I got my Lasik surgery two years ago. Being honest, the first year was rough. Lots of artificial tears. Eye fatigue set in much earlier in the day and I essentially didn’t have a life past 8 pm. But after that first year things were much better. I rarely need the artificial tears if I stay hydrated. Eye fatigue has improved tremendously. So just keep in mind you are taking a risk as it is a surgery. It also may take a while to heal.
