Since 1986, The Oar has been dedicated to bringing you fresh and delicious seafood. Our staff is accommodating and friendly, and their service is sharp and always pleasing to our customers. We take a lot of pride in satisfying all of our guests. The Oar offers beautiful scenery and provides a fun entertaining atmosphere. Everything was great. Service, food ect. Except...... The band was WAY to loud to the point u couldn't hear ur self talk
Great service. I like the ease of booking reservations through the APP.
Good value. Quaint atmosphere, right on the water. Currently igloos outside, not sure what it is like dining in there. Appetizers solid: calamari and lobster wontons tasty. Dishes: Lobster pasta very tasty. Good price for 1.25 lb lobster, reportedly also tasty. My seared yellowfin tuna on rice was excellent. Dessert: Solid. Had the bourbon cake with ice cream. Cocktails: The blueberry one wasn't that good, but the rest were solid. Beer list was kinda heavy on IPAs, light on dark beers.

Had an early Valentines Day dinner with the wife. It would of been nice to know that certain drinks were part of happy hour. Other than that the food was great, our waitress Kim was awesome. Very professional. She was on top of everything. Highly recommended.

We dine here often and I always love the food. On Friday we broke with tradition and ordered from the restaurant week menu. The appetizers were fantastic! Seriously, the fried oysters were so tasty they should be on the regular menu. Entrees... not so much. I ordered the a veal dish... should have read the description more carefully because I never Oder fried food, so that part was my error. But the veal was a huge chop that had been pounded thinner and deep fried. A huge thing tha at was on the dry side... so, disappointing... read more

The Oar had it all: excellent food, good service and a wonderful ambiance. I attended their Restaurant Week three course meal promotion and was fully satisfied with everything. It was especially nice that the accepted my request to be seated by a window. I enjoyed my experience. It is a lovely romantic setting for those in search of making a memorable night out!
