Get directionsMy paternal grandmother is currently receiving care here and I have to say I'm very impressed! All of the staff are friendly, helpful, considerate and kind. Her PT, OT and Speech therapy providers are kind, knowledgeable and supportive. I know that rehabilitation is never easy but I really think this place is excellent.

Thank you for trusting The Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio with the care of your loved one!
I Will be getting transfer to this facility tomorrow 12/21/2022. I will let you know how my day was here.
The Rehabilitation institute of Ohio (RIO) is by far the most well rounded and encouraging environments to recover in. The nursing staff is caring and quick to answer concerns or just check in on you and it's clear to see people working hard. I enjoyed encouragement in my progress even from the environmental services and maintenance workers! The upbeat encouraging and motivating environment definitely helped push me to accomplish my goals. Both the rehab and medical physicians were quick to make necessary adjustments and rea... read more

Thanks for entrusting us with your care, Becca. We’re happy that you had such a good experience!
At least one of the facilities reviewed is not Encompass but rather Haven which is in the same building but is an unrelated entity. My wife was transferred from Miami Valley Hospital with a left shoulder replacement and broken right wrist following a traumatic fall. I can't say enough about the staff. Each was helpful, cooperative, accommodating and cheerful. The RN's , aides, PT and OT were on the money. Each were as competent as one might hope. The medical staff inspired confidence. I admit that, at times, service deli... read more
My elderly dad went here for three weeks after a brain bleed and the hall nurses would let him sit for ten-fifteen minutes before they answered his buzzer and let him sit in his urine soaked clothes until he got a UTI, he is epileptic so a UTI is very dangerous. When they released him a horrible white nurse named Brittani (who I complained about previously and they still let tens to my dad) mentioned under her breath he didn't take a one of his meds (didn't tell me which one, just pointed to his pamphlet)... failed to mentio... read more
hall nurses are 100% shit. the cooks are also pretty shitty as well. the only good part about the shit hole was the "team" that was working with me other than that it was 100% crap. I would not ever choose to go back to that shit hole. it was highly depressing being an inmate there
Probably one of the worst overall experiences I have had. No one takes responsibility. You basically have to self treat yourself. No one knows anything and they do the minimum. You will page for hours and hours before someone comes during the day. At night they come in every 2 hours to wake you and change trash at 5am. They've canceled appointments when they didn't know I had them at hospital. You have to get angry to get anything done or they push you to the side. -1/10. Would never return. Care quality is terrible. Basica... read more

Hi Shaun, we’re sorry to hear about your experience and would like to learn more about the situation. Can you please email feedback@encompasshealth.com with additional details?
This is by far one of the worst rehab centers anywhere. Almost every night when I came to visit my brother who is there recouping he was completely wet due to his incontinence, I would have to ask the nurse ( very lazy worthless ) to change him. Sometimes I would not see another person for hours. If you want your loved one to get a decent rehab and just at least standard care do not go to encompass. In the eight days he was there, he was never bathed or shaved. His wife shaved him, this place is an absolute dive, I don't k... read more

They wanted to kick my grandpa out the first day he got there. They failed to change him and left him wet blaming it on him for being incontinent. The physical, occupational and speech therapists did a good job. The social woot led knew nothing about anything and only made things worse for us. They were completely uncooperative trying to move my grandpa to anothEr facility.
