Mom was welcomed to the community. She was more reserved initially. The activity specialist was encouraging. Once comfortable- attended numerous activities/social events. The staff did a wonderful job making the transition from home to community living more comfortable. The family was closer to her which enabled family connections. Communication between staff and family was positive and informative. Family had peace of mind knowing mom was well supported.

I would highly recommend Penniman Hill. My mother loved it there and the staff are absolutely amazing.
My mother was a resident at Penniman for about two years. She was in Assisted Living for a year and a half and Memory Care for about four months. The care she received at Penniman Hill was outstanding. The front desk, nursing, engagement and the business office always went out of their way to help. All the staff have been so welcoming to my 97-year old MIL. She is settling in very well to this new experience for her. Living on her own with no illnesses for 95 years it's been a bit of a transition to accept help but the staff are very patient and kind.

This facility has been great! My loved one really loves the food. They offer a huge amount of activities. Communication with the family is great. Housekeeping is once a week and it's been good. Some of the staff are responsive and some not so much, so follow up can be poor at times. But overall, it's been a great experience so far. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

We chose this facility because of the location, the fact that it was new and updated, and both [name removed] and [name removed], the marketing directors, were great to work with. The communication with the family, especially initially during that whole transition period was wonderful. I would definitely recommend The Residence at Penniman Hill to other families.
Overall the food is not great, my sister in law complains on the food. She thinks some of the things in the activities program may need more options and change it up to more advanced options for more active residents.
