We chose The Residence at Penniman Hill because it is a brand new facility that was very clean and she was able to take a room that had never been lived in before. We went on a tour and we were impressed with everybody that we met, the wellness directors, the sales person, and the daily caregivers. We did not spend much time with the executive director but she seemed to be nice. I do like the population size, it is big enough to where she could make friends but not too big to where she would get lost. My mother has become li... read more

This community was very nice and the tour experience was great.

My loved one loves being in this community. The food is fantastic and everyone gets along great with my family. The staff are amazing. The community is a little expensive but I do understand that this is the price now in these times but i do not think it should be that much for Sr. citizens because not everyone can afford. Other than the price everything is great.

It is a lovely place, but I did not feel the warmth from the staff. The tour felt more like a sales pitch, it was too businessy.

We chose The Residence because the apartment was larger and it was quiet unlike her previous place. They also offer anytime dining so it puts residents more in control, they can eat whenever they want and sit wherever they would like to. They have a 6 page menu to order from as well so they have tons of variety. They also provide plenty of activities for residents to participate in. I would recommend to others looking.

We didn’t tour together, but I went for a visit,. It was lovely and clean but no views for her which she finds to be important. Perhaps she plans on spending a lot of time looking out her window.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Residence at Penniman Hill, but will be moving out soon. Many of the Memory Care residents have already moved out. The staff is lazy and untrained. The housekeeping is the only good aspect. Communication with the family is spotty. The move in process was easy. My suggestion is to remove the Director and reorganize and retrain the staff. I would absolutely not recommend this facility!

False advertising!!! No nursing 24/7 and cannot age your loved one in place!!! You need to pay for private care if you want anything done which is forced by corporate! Spending at least $20 K a month plus. Corporate is fake and does not care and the memory unit is not a true memory unit, be aware!!!
