The staff at The Residence at South Windsor Farms was incedibly helpful when I was in need of locating a place for my mom after Rehab. Mom could not go back home alone and I had 48 hours to move her from the Rehab facility. The Social Director at Rehab suggested to look into The Residence at South Windsor Farms. An amazing warm and family environment! Nursing care and a add are amazing. Residence at the community are very friendly and welcoming to all that come to visit and the team does a ton with the residence from engagement to Services
In looking for a place for my mom, I visit the Residence at South Windsor Farms and stayed for lunch. Lorrie and Eileen were so knowledgeable, warm and fully understanding of the conflicted feelings the family and my mom have about making a change. All of the staff we met smiled, said hello and the food was outstanding! We also met some of the department mangers, each who took the time to tell us what they do and how their departments make the Residence the best assisted living around! Highly recommend!

We moved my MIL in November 2022 with a plan of a 60 day respite. We’re now 3 months in and she’s thriving! She is continuing her stay there as she feels so much better than when she was home alone & having challenges managing her medications. She’s back to herself, sharper and incredibly social. Since our loved one has been there, there are been quite a big turnover with the administrative staff team which has been quite cumbersome. However the nurses there have been there for awhile which is great. The care services are really good - the price is quite high but at the end of the day it is worth it. Based on our experience we would recommend The Residences at South Windsor Farms to other families.

Our family had an in person tour and the facility was very nice and modern looking. The staff members we me with were very pleasant, information and very thorough.

This community was much to expensive and fancy for what I was looking for for my loved one. The tour was great it was just not the right fit of community for my loved one.

It's not for everyone. It did not work out for my loved one. She didn't like it there. The residents and the staff are very nice. The food used to be phenomonal and it has gone downhill. It has 2 floors. They offered bingo, cards, card making with arts and crafts. They would go for rides to the grocery store and around town. She enjoyed that. They did offer automatic payments for billing.

The Residence is a great facility with good food. The staff is nice and are responsive to the residents needs. Depending on the mobility level of your loved one, transportation may or may not be difficult. The one instance that we wanted to use it, we were unable to due to mechanical issues. Although this service is not promised and the staff were honest about their complication that day, it was still slightly inconvenient - to no fault of the community.
