I went to The Smilist Dental - Somerset (97 Cedar Grove Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873) after my wife completed her Invisalign treatment with no issues. Since we share the same insurance and I was told my out of pocket cost would be no more than $100, I trusted this office and started my treatment with Dr. Elisa Marants, supervised by Dr. Jeffrey Chustckie. What happened next was absolutely unacceptable. After a few months, I discovered that my insurance had stopped paying because the office closed my Invisalign case after only 5 ... read more

When I first joined this practice I thought they were great, however I have had a very negative experience over the past 6 months. When I told them about an issue with my insurance they lied to me at the front desk and claimed I was covered when in fact I was not. They pretended to contact my insurance company, but my insurance company says there is no record of their call and conveniently they have no confirmation number. The facility is nice and everyone is friendly, but at the end of the day they care more about the money than the patient. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars on my families teeth and never had an issue with billing since I ALWAYS paid on-time. My family member had a procedure and they sent me a bill the next day with a note attached. The bill was for less than $100. When I explained why I was leaving, I was told an office manager would call me. They never did.
Terrible experience... Pulled out my filling in the middle of a cleaning. Had to go back later in the day for a repair at MY expense. Hygenist pulled and tugged so hard I've had mouth pain for days. Tried to sell me all these things for my teeth that I don't need, all cosmetic for profit. Horrid experience. They had the potential to get my entire family since we needed a new dentist but I would never go back.
Business response:
The staff at CGD takes great pride in achieving perfect patient satisfaction and are sorry Janet was disappointed with our office. If an existing filling is inadvertently lost during a cleaning, it has been our experience that the filling was faulty.
Very bad experience......first after take the Xray then the staff told me that I need to pull out four of my wisdom tooth. Then the staff checked my gum and said I had a gum disease. But, the Dr. came over and said all my tooth is very health and not suggest to remove any wisdom tooth. After I thought the end will have cleaning down but the staff said can leave. She explained at the front desk said that I can not do normal cleaning and told me NEED TO HAVE DEEP clean. And she said the deep clean will be finish in 2 days if ... read more
