Dr. T was very thorough with my breast cancer care. She reviewed my biopsy results with care and professionalism. I had a false negative biopsy and she recommended a second test which proved positive. If she had not followed through with her instinct that cancer would have spread and my outcome may have been much different. She is a life saver!
Dt. Tortenson is exceptional. She is proficient in her skills and compassionate with her patients. I felt heard and seen by her and all of her team.
when a person hears the word Cancer. they are scared as I was. Dr.T was very pleasant and caring . She was very compassionate and helped me understand what was going to take place . I would recommend her to any lady that had to have this kind of surgery.
Dr. T is the most caring Doctor I have ever had. Having someone that makes you feel your getting the best care possible is so valuable when going through breast cancer. I have been seen by Dr. Torstenson for a few years now. I'm BRACA 1 positive and every time I see her she takes time to talk to me, explain and answers all of my questions. Finally I have decided to get rid of my boobs and I'm happy that Dr. Torstenson will be the one to do this. I trust her with my body!
Dr. Torstenson is a phenomenal provider! She is so knowledgeable and patient with her patients. She really took her time to walk me through the process of a double mastectomy as well as providing sincere support along the way. She shows genuine care and concern and I feel blessed to be in her care. I wholeheartedly reccomend her and can't thank her and her staff enough for their continued care!
I experienced nipple discharge for almost a year and Dr. Torstenson removed the ducts under the nipple. Thankfully it turned out to only be a papilloma wart issue - but she was absolutely wonderful and my breast looks almost the exact same as before surgery. She explained everything in detail before surgery and I experienced NO pain after surgery. She is awesome at her job!
I had double mastectomy and reconstruction. Had two opinions in town and so happy I went with Dr T and her plastic surgeon, who is AMAZING. The oncologist and cancer team are amazing. Dr T listens and cares and is a fantastic surgeon. Highly recommend her team!

Dr Torstenson and her team are awesome. I had double mastectomy with reconstruction last year. Her caring attitude and skills are the best. Recommend her for anyone with breast cancer. She's highly skilled and trained at Mayo. No need to go north!
