RecommendedI had a great experience at TLC and can now see 20/20! I have to admit the procedure was nerve wracking but they made me feel comfortable the whole time. The only thing I wish they could have done was provided more detailed instructions about pre and post OP procedures. They do have a paper that kind of says was to do but I needed to use additional products. A more customized schedule and instructions would have been nice. For approximately 20 years, I've had some form of corrective eye wear. But in a matter of 15 minutes, I was able to read the numbers on a clock at least 10 feet away. Something I've NEVER been able to do unless it was a few inches away from my face because I was so nearsighted. The doctor even said that I had the win for the day for the person with the highest prescription, haha!! You can't even imagine the emotions of waking up this morning and being able to see. RecommendedI didn't think I would qualify because I had an astigmatism and my vision was really bad. TLC offered a free consultation and I found out I did qualify for lasik. I was really nervous but the staff was very friendly and went over the procedure and aftercare. The surgery was painless and I was seeing 20/20 as soon as they were done. They even set my follow up visits with a doctor closer to my house so I didn't have to drive the 45 minutes for my checkups. I’m writing this nine months after my lasik surgery which was August of 2017. This was a gift to myself. I had worn contacts for 36 years but had terrible eye allergies/itching for the last three years making it really uncomfortable to wear contacts. Out of curiosity, I decided to pursue lasik surgery.
