Your choice: Genuine Brother toner The genuine brand toner is expensive, and it doesn't even come in full, I do not know if it will provide thousands of printed pages as advertised. However, you do not have much choice since if you buy another toner, not Brother brand as it will not work with the printer because there is a chip built in to recognize not genuine toner.
This printer cartridge is the best I have ever used. Lasts longer than the other brands I have used and costs less. Great product.
OEM cartridge so, of course, it works. I bought the Brother OEM toner cartridge instead of a third-part toner cartridge. It works as expected, fit perfectly, and will more than satisfy our B&W printer needs. It cost more than the third-party products but it works like new and will last several years. The bit extra is worth it to me.
It does the job! These genuine toners simply print and last better than the off brand ones.
About 7 months I print a lot of reports, I think this is okay. My HP printer I was buying every 3 months.
Brother designs their printers to save you money on toner Because they don't make you throw away an imaging drum every time you replace a toner cartridge, these end up being less than half the cost of an HP toner cartridge. Switch to Brother, save money. They didn't pay me to say that.

Bought this last year made order quick and easy. Re-ordering this for my printer was easy. Didn't have to look for numbers. Amazon remembered what I needed. The ink was here quickly. Good since I accidentally let myself run out and couldn't print anything until I replaced the cartridge.
