The food was excellent.. The service was horrible... Saw our waitress twice.. Never asked for refills... Never got our sopapillas... We had to ask another waiter for a refill and waited an additional 45 minutes to cash out our bill.
The sopapillas were fabulous, but the rest of the food was just mediocore. I ordered the vegetation plate, which came with a blah enchilada, dry beans, over cooked rice and two extremely dry tamales. The drinks were also not very good.
I ended up puking my guts out, the service was lackluster.
I have wanted to try the place since seeing it on a food show. There was zero wait, but once seated we waited at least 10 minutes to order drinks. We ordered our food and drinks together. The food came out crazy fast, but was ok at best. The prices are rather steep for the amount of food served. So, our adventure started with an 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait when we where told it would be about 45 minutes. After about an hour I went to check on how much it was going to be they said about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later we went to check on our wait again they said they where cleaning the table and it would be about 10 minutes and they made sure they took their full 10 minutes. Once we got back to the table it took another 5-7 minutes for our drink order to be taken, then another 5 minutes for some of the drinks to be brought ... read more
To this day, the boy that used to bully me in school still takes my lunch money. On the plus side, he makes a great burrito at Tomasita's.
I was very disappointed with the food. I had been promising my wife for 10 years that we lived in Colorado to take her there one day. We finally got the chance and after waiting for almost an hour the food was so bland. What happened with your flavor? Service was great and serving size was good but no flavor. Tasted like frozen food reheated.
