I love this place! There is a very energetic vibe in the place with the pre-show crowd. But it is also very New York in its feel. And that adds something special to any meal here. The staff are incredibly friendly and very attentive. The food is spot on and deliciously prepared. I usually get a veal dish because it's always very good. But anything I or my girlfriend have ever had there is delicious. Be sure to check out the vegetable antipasto bar as you walk in. The dishes are so good!
Food was good. Salad was excellent. A bit noisy in the front when we were seated.

Wonderful atmosphere, great service but too loud and boisterous. Moved us up stairs which was better but still very loud!
I’ve been dining here for years, the food is consistently great, service is top notch and the entire staff clearly understands customer service. Ask for Joseph (Joey) as your server and see if he’ll tell you a joke or two. He’s the best server in the nation as far as I’m concerned. Do yourself a favor and make trattoria del arte a dinner stop if in New York.
The setting is charming, the food spectacular and the service on point. Who could ask for more from this cherished gem?

We had a wonderful dinner experience. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent.
I was so excited, hadn't been there in years. We were sat at a 2 top, worst spot. Requested to be moved. 2 open booths but got moved to another 2 top that wobbled. Could never get comfortable. Implication to the restaurant was..... no second drinks were ordered, skipped dessert, and wanted to leave.
