We keep coming back to La Trattoria every time we are visiting NYC… this is a classic place, and the servers are fantastic… of course the food is great! Get the Octopus, you can’t go wrong with that one!
I noted it was a special occasion in our reservation and no one mentioned anything. That’s okay though!! Service was wonderful, as was the food :)
The food was good, nothing spectacular but good! It was our service that make the experience - everyone took great care to see our needs were meet and our server was so kind to my teenage kids!

We had a wonderful meal, as always. Our waiter Pedro could not have been more attentive and upbeat. I have the veal chop parmigiano whenever I go and I was not disappointed. The zucchini flowers and grilled artichokes were also memorable. Not a complaint from the 3 of us!
This is one of our favorite “neighborhood” restaurants, the neighborhood including Carnegie Hall.
