Tables and chairs too close. Back of chairs hitting other chairs. $9 for a loaf of bread that was so tough they served it with a steak knife to cut it. Loud!
Great evening, celebrating friends
We ordered antipasti and two pasta dishes. All were excellent. You can't go wrong here.
We call it the “Nose” restaurant. There is a sculpture of a nose over the entrance. The decor is quirky but the food is excellent. We had an excellent waiter who was on top of everything. Our lobster carbonara was definitely a must have. Good wine list. The fact that it has been there more than 30 years across the street from Carnegie Hall says it all.
Delicious- quick service A little loud but I think that is the vibe Kind of expensive but the vegetable antipasto was delicious and we should have ordered more and the lasagna was large enough for two fairly hungry Concert goers to share. We also shared a divine piece of cream Cake. Would definitely go again!
Server Benjamin was sensational I would return just to have him as my Server
My husband took me here for my 40th birthday 13 years ago and we loved it. We went back approximately 5 years ago and again, had a great experience. I was in NYC with some girlfriends this weekend and recommended that we go here after seeing a Broadway show. As always, the food was great, but the service was not (a departure from my prior experience at this restaurant). Went on a Sunday night with a group. Go to this restaurant. Get the lasagna.
Jeff, the maitre'd, is superb. Always helpful, accommodating and efficient. Love the food and ambience.
