We had an excellent pre-theater dinner. The food was great, the service was prompt and attentive without making us feel rushed. Most unusual for a New York restaurant, the noise level never got above a pleasant background buzz, even though the restaurant was full. We actually were able to have a conversation over dinner without shouting at each other!
Be asked to sit upstairs.........very nice and secluded away from the action. Food was excellent although pasta dishes seem a bit pricey even by NY standards.
We had an outstanding experience at Trattoria Dell'Arte. The food and service was wonderful We were going to the Theatre and our waiter served us in a very timely manner and then was very happy to have us continue to occupy the table. He even said to us to take our time and enjoy and that we did.
Always a favorite! The choices are wide and the preparation flawless.
This was perfect for our first night in NY. It is a great New York Restaurant with wonderful food. Very relaxing.
this was one of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been to.
Excellent. Went back twice during my visit. Not a great place to go if you need to have a substantive conversation due to the noise level but the food is excellent.
9/11/09 Pre-Carnegie Hall dinner. Arrived approx 15 minutes before our reservation. We were seated promptly and offered libation. My date ordered the special which was Trout with Pesto Sauce and I had the Seafood Parpadelle both were very good but the portions were conservative. The staff were friendly, he tables are close and the chatter level is high. One disappointment however was the bread and olive oil we were served upon seating. The bread was cold and hard, no fresh pepper for olive oil.
Very busy restaurant, upon enterting we were greeted with a friendly hello and was escorted to our table to meet with the rest of our party. The service staff was attentive and when another of our party came in in a wheelchair they were very helpful. It's a fun, cool place, some items could have had a bit more flavor. We requested a plate of polenta and the server suggested adding bolenese sauce, it turned out to be the best dish of the night. Overall good dining experience, staff is considerate if you are going to a show at... read more
