Absolutely horrendous company. Have their used car sales men waste your time with how reliable and trust worthy they are only to subcontract your job out to the worst imaginable companies that you wouldn't even consider letting handle your belongings. All guarantees or quotes from them do not matter as its only them insuring the broker gets paid and the subcontracted company will charge whatever they want after your arrangements are already set to where there's no getting out of it. First, I begged the salesman to give me an honest estimate. I couldn't understand how that could happen over a phone call and he (*******) assured me that he understood my fixed budget as a single 70 year old on Social security with no savings. He told me numerous times not to worry that he promised that you would 'take care of me" that the estimate would not change. That was totally untrue. It took them 1 entire month to deliver my belongings after promising a window of 3-5 days initially. After they missed their pickup date by 3 days, they then changed their drop off *** to 14 days. After 14 days passed, they kept promising delivery the next day until an entire month had passed. At this point, I am reaching out to my bank after I get my things to get a refund because this is not the service I paid 2000 dollars for along with their "hidden fees" that they tell you about only when you're about to pay! This company has DOUBLED our estimated price and delivery time:They gave us an estimate of $6,500 on 4/27/2025 during our final estimate call, then told us the price would be $13,000 whenever the moving company was almost finished loading our items. NOW on 5/6/2025, they're saying it's going to take 7-14 days instead of 3-4 days, as were told when our things were picked up on 5/2/2025. These guys were awful. They purposely under bid the amount we had to move so they could charge more for false "overages". I am quite sure they don't even own a truck, just use U-haul trucks. We fired them on moving day it was so bad what they did on price. If could rate them -5 I would. The owner is a very difficult individual to work with.
The whole experience was on of the worst of my life! Charged 3 times more than the quote. (Using every cent I have to my name so I could not rent an apartment in the new town I moved to. I had to lose a deposit because I could not come up with rent.) Truck showed up 4 hours late to pick my stuff up putting me behind an entire day in my move. At the time of booking their services we were been promised so many lies about the delivery time of our belongings.we were told maximum 4 days . According to contract its 3 to 5 business days within 500 miles. *** its been 10 days now and yet we are waiting for delivery. Once our things have been picked up, we got very very rude response from the staff whenever we asked about delivery. I would give them negative stars if possible. I would say no for using this moving company to anyone my knowledge.
I got a quote for $2,145.00 from Value Added Movers to move my things from a 10x30 storage unit. I told them the unit was not completely full but it was pretty full. Two people assured me they would be able to move my belongings from ******** to ******* for the quote. When the driver arrived he said it would be over $9,800.00. When I told him I didn't have that amount he left. I called the company and sent a detailed email requesting my deposit back. Dishonest, worst customer service. Will pass you around to ********************** companies that treat you badly. When you try to reach back out to them about service from moving company, they do not call you back. Once they lock you in, they ship you off with no support.
