Although I love Dr. Vargas and his assistants, I was put off by making an appointment and being seen (without notification) by an associate dentist. I had things I personally wanted to discuss with him as I have a unique oral history. I was put off by her (I don't recall her name) response to my concern about the cost of crowns and braces. I said it's, "It's March and, I need to wait until December to add dental to my BC/BS before doing all of this." She basically said, "You need to do this now because you have decay." ... read more
I could leave zero stars I would. My experience there today and over the last six months has been unacceptable. Dr. Vargas is very unprofessional if you try to ask him a question about the work he has performed in your mouth. There is no reason that if I am paying him and my insurance is paying him that my mouth should still be hurting after he performs a service. I showed up for my appointment only to find out that it had been canceled. Apparently there was a old number on file so they were unable to confirm the appointment so they canceled it. This is a major inconvenience for me because I specifically said when I made the appointment that I was working it around my work schedule. They couldn't offer me an appointment that works for me for 2 more months. I signed a paper that said if I missed an appointment that I would pay a fee. Extremely disappointed! I switched dentist thinking Vargas would be ideal. Great ratings. Only to find out that because they did not want to communicate using pen/pad or computers or find ways to talk to me as a deaf person. They referred me to some dental school in Maryland. Too bad they were not accommodating and just tossed me out the door. I only talked to Kathy... The dentist did not even bothered coming into the room to try and work something out... Go somewhere else...
I gave this office a 0 this is the worst Dental Office ever been to in my life. I came in for a chipped tooth I had no pain at all and they talked me into getting two root canals. I probably didn’t need it but I had no pain no problem other than a chipped tooth I went to the Dental office beginning of August and got my route canals done on 20 August and today is October 5 and I’ve been in excruciating pain since. they’re not returning my calls or check my messages. After several years as a patient of Dr. Eduardo Vargas, I've given up on him. I should have given up on him back in 2015 when one of his associates replaced a crown which has bothered me ever since. He's never been able to explain why that area is still painful, and so I stopped telling him about the pain during my regular 6-month checkups. Don’t ever use these people folks. I am reporting them to United Healthcare ASAP. In August 2019 I went there to be evacuated and was told I needed a deep scaling. The price quoted was too high and was told that they can do an authorization to the Insurance company. I advised that I will call back and let them know. A few weeks had passed and I called, I was told that they had put in an Authorization before I even authorized it. I do not recommend Vargas Dental Associates. Vargas cancels appointments constantly for permanent crown replacement, Dr. Vargas left me in pain for months from neglect. Immature attitude of Dr. Vargas. I got reminders for appointments that I did not make, and waited FOR MONTHS for a permanent replacement crown, cancelled my appointment FIVE TIMES... Vargas does not appreciate the neglect he inflicts upon his patients - every time I had a problem w/root canal done, kept getting sent to endodontist when I called about pain/inf... read more
