Overall an outstanding experience. My one disappointment was being greeted poorly. We arrived just a few minutes late (and it was past the peak of the busy period) and were told that we were a "no-show". Not very friendly to say the least. Once seated, however, all was gracious and wonderful.
It is difficult to find a new restaurant with experienced, knowledgeable wait staff, but this place has it. The food, while expertly prepared, is unpretentious. Great attention to detail with plating. I opted for the 4 course meal and I'm so happy I did. My first course was tuna with sticky rice. The texture of the rice was perfect with a seared crust. We had a fantastic dinner and excellent service. Came before a Broadway show, and timing was perfect. Highly recommend.
Vida appeals to adults and, possibly, teens. The eclectic menu offers something for nearly everyone's tastes unless you are craving a large burger with all the toppings. The cocktail and wine list should meet nearly everyone's desires as well. One of the best restaurants I have experienced. The staff were excellent from the valet to the hosts, the waiter and his assistant. Food was very creative and very good. From the time we sat down to the time we left, we were served on a consistent timeline which kept us delighted. The decor was interesting and attractive. The cost is very competitive for similar quality fare.
