The server explained the essence of Vida is to source things locally and fresh so the menu changes every few months. One look at the menu and is see halibut, salmon, sturgeon, lobster, etc, all sourced from the local grocery store. The amuse bouche was a watermelon salsa on a cracker. The cracker was the type you can buy from the local grocery store. I had the lobster chowder which arrived at the table with a skin starting to form on top. Many fantastic restaurants in Indy, this one is the best.
We especially appreciated the server's descriptions of the dishes and his successful efforts to get us out so that we could get to IRT.
