We had a wonderful meal. Service was superb!! I loved the mussels and the grits were great.
Frost is always a go to venue. Ibr lived with in The area for years and brought a new person here, they loved it....of course
Frosts is always a place to go for special occasions - a white cloth napkin kind of place. The setting - either inside with the old elegance and slightly mysterious downstairs or outside in their beautiful wooded dining location - is worth a visit alone. And we have always found the staff genuine and exceptional in their responsiveness and professionalism. All this in addition to a unique and tasty menu.
Our favorite place to celebrate any special occasion. Cozy atmosphere, tons of history and art, delicious food, and they're always happy to accommodate my wife's special dietary needs.
I'm a life-long Saint Paul resident and have been coming to W.A. Frost for years. Both the patio and the dining rooms are a lovely place to bring friends and family. Service and food is superb.
I wasn't super impressed with the Saturday lunch options, since they only offered the brunch menu (the server claimed it was a hybrid of breakfast and lunch options), which only had 2 lunch items- a burger and a salad. Other than that the food was pretty good, but not great. I had the Benedict Florentine with corn fritters and the corn fritters were kind of bland. Good french fries.

Grabbed this res as a colleague was in town as was I and we wanted a dinner convo. The service and atmosphere was great and close to downtown St. Paul. We chose the standard and vegetarian tasting menus. We shared all tasting to really experience the breadth of what the chef had to offer. It was all very very good. It was a pleasure to taste both presentations. The vegetarian wild rice serving was by far the best dish. The spinach salad as well and the late course sheesh spread was great.
