I am considering moving both of my parents from North Dakota to Mankato to be near me so I can visit them daily. Mom is in Memory Care and Dad assisted living. The individual apartments and community living areas are so cozy and homey exactly what I want for my parents.

We were happy and overall satisfied with our choice for our mom to live at Water's Edge. The staff truly cared about our mother. When she was able to be active, there were enough activities to participate. The once a month dinners are a fun way for family to join in as a group, but I was always welcome to play bingo or join in singing. Sometimes communication between staff leaving and next staff member coming on board wasn't the smoothest process, at least from what we experienced/witnessed as our mother was in final weeks. ... read more

I love the accommodations, the staff and my new friends. I like my private room and bathroom/walk in shower with my heated flooring. I have the ability to see out to nature. There is a nice pond behind the building where we see the geese daily. The location is convenient for my personal needs. I like the activities planned, specially the music and bible study. I like the ease of getting my clothes washed. The new housekeeper is great!

I think all the staff that work here are amazing. They take good care of all of us. The food is pretty good and bingo is fun for all of us. The nurses really care about everything and make everyone feel safe and at home.

Everyone there was so kind and helpful, the director went above and beyond while giving us a tour and it felt like she genuinely cared about the people there, there were some younger staffers I spoke too as well and they were all very respectful and kind! Great place, clean, fun and welcoming!

Water’s Edge is a fun family like atmosphere. The staff is very attentive to your needs and routines. I really enjoy mealtimes, visiting with the other residents. The dietary department has been helpful with my restrictive diet. I am satisfied with the food. There is a great selection of activities that include all residents.

I like living here, and there is plenty to do. I enjoy the garden and taking care of the flowers and vegetables. Residents are involved in these activities, which is good. I would like to have more opportunities for dance, however.

It’s a great place to live! I believe my friends would love it here too. I enjoy visiting with both staff and residents. Staff are great at meeting my needs as well as giving me privacy and respect. I have a great view from my window. It is nice to watch the geese on the pond.

Very welcoming environment. Friendly staff and very helpful answering questions. Activity director is great, plans fun activities and games for the residents. Very clean and nice upgrades.The different levels of care are very helpful for all the needs of the residents.
