We had a cheese pizza and a salad. The pizza was good. Salad dressing was tasty. Price was decent. I'd go again.
Ate here the day after the Marine Corps marathon. Reasonably priced, close to Capital Hill. Pizza was AWESOME; it was a leek, potato, and bacon white pizza with a crispy crust. All my companions liked their pizza as well. wings were great, not too vinegary. The guy behind the counter acted like he'd rather be anywhere but there, but it didn't spoil the food.
Siva. I wish I had read the "delivery" reviews earlier. Had a similar experience recently wherein after two hours and several phone calls, no pizza. When in the final call the person on the other end of the phone graciously???? said there would be no charge I had to think - what does the owner of this restaurant teach his employees? He might be famous and perhaps a good chef, but apparently he doesn't care how customers are treated. Will never get a pizza from them again.
Just Ok. Plus Incompetent. Stay Away.. They took 2 hours to send me a pizza. I ordered around 6:30 and they showed up after 8:30 after we called 3 times. The punchline is that they sent the wrong one. TWICE. I'm now waiting for the 3rd try. Their pizza is just not good enough for this nonsense. Don't bother. They've only been trying delivery for 6 months. Wait another year and maybe they'll figure it out.
Hmm.... Some locals recommended it, so we tried it...definitely not outstanding. $4 for one slice of pizza was a bit ridiculous to me, as the quality was the same as any chain pizza joint, if not worse. We had to let the grease drip off our pieces for a few minutes before we even started eating. Also, we were the only customers, and it still took 10 minutes to get two slices of pizza (they had just opened, the pizzas were ready, don't know what the wait was for). I would not go back.
Fine for walk-in, TERRIBLE for delivery. The pizza is pretty fabulous, if overly expensive. However, they claim to offer delivery and they really shouldn't. I have yet to get a pizza successfully delivered to me. Last time I waited an hour and through two calls before finally getting a sheepish call stating that they'd delivered it to someone else. The time before, it came late, cold, and obviously dropped, with all of the cheese slid over to one side. That was especially a problem as it was supposed to have two different si... read more
So these guys send out these brochures to the Capitol Hill area advertising that they deliver. We order and they quote us 45 minutes. After an hour passes, i call them... He said the driver didnt even have our food yet. I said "cool" not that big of deal, i dont mind waiting another 15-20 minutes. I am not much of a stickler when it comes to delivery times. I understand its lunch time. BUT when it got to the 2 hour mark, it became ridiculous. Its not worth the $25 for a few slices of pizza for these fools to take their time... read more
The pizzas not bad. In fact, it's pretty good. But it's just pizza. Who really cares? It's a good place to stop in and grab a bite, but a place I'd actually travel to eat at.
Not special. I came after hearing all the buzz when it first opened, wary as a New Yorker. my wariness was warranted. The pizza is fine, but nothing special and definitely overpriced compared to what I'm used to. The non-pizza items seems interesting and the sugar cane-sweetened sodas are nice. Otherwise, go to Vace deli in Cleveland Park for something more approximating NY-style at a better price.
