Great and wonderful birthday brunch! Wonderful service, food and atmosphere!
Westville is a good brunch option on the upper west side. There are several good menu choices and the prices are reasonable. It gets very crowded and noisy, and we had to wait a bit even with a reservation. The French toast, and California Benedict were good options. They don’t have brewed decaf, which was a bit of a surprise.
Understand that I give “outstanding” reading proportional to what Westville is aiming at. It is an unpretentious but delicious casual family restaurant, and it succeeds completely. The food is fresh and tasty and interesting, the vegetarian options are manifold, the service is friendly, and the price is reasonable. Maybe some people will think it’s not enough for an upper west side restaurant, because its roots are downtown in funkier neighborhoods; too bad for them. PS we miss the little dive on 18th St.

Super menu. Staff wonderful especially to those needing special assistance like myself. Food is fresh and well-prepared. My go to place in my area!!!
Medium rare hamburger arrived well done. I’m pretty sure it was cooked ahead of time and then heated up in the microwave.
Great food, service. Waiter/waitress was great. Friendly and let us know when the main course would come. Highly recommend this place!
I always love Westville but this time was extra good...and here's why. My market bowl was perfect, the veggies were perfectly cooked and the tahini sauce was flavorful and just the right amount. My friend had the spacial carnitas bowl that they made without her allergen. They even brought us a different spicy sauce (buffalo spice?) that was super yummy.
