Established in 1980. It was 1977 when Chuck Woodstock opened the first Woodstock's Pizza near Oregon State in Corvallis, Oregon. His goal was to create a fun, student oriented pizzeria that dished up amazing pies using his grandmother's marinara recipe. From the beginning he focused on fresh, hand-tossed dough with a unique folded-over crust with sauce inside. Great Pizza - probably the best in SLO. These guys were making delicious stuffed crust pizza well before the big chains started doing it. Woodstock's is a true San Luis classic.
NOT impressed! It's a fast order place but we had to go back and ask for our order 4 times! There is crude humor tee shirts and logos around the restaurant and it was filthy! Seriously in need of a paint job! Bright side... Friendly staff and fun atmosphere...food 6 out of 10
The pizza isn't very good.
Woodstock's Pizza is by far the best pizza West of the Rockies! The sauce and toppings scroll out all the way to the edge of the pan, and the excess crust is then rolled over the top of the edges, making a pseudo 'stuffed crust' which makes the crust delicious as well! One thing I do enjoy about Woodstock's is their 'wheat' crust. I have always enjoyed my wheat bread, but to get it with PIZZA~!!!? HOLY WILLIAM SHATNER~!!!? VERY generous & tasty toppings, excellent homemade pizza sauce. Foldover crust was OK; would have been better if crust tasted better. Overall, good/very good.
Awful as leftovers. Pizza was ify when i ate it the first time. put it away and had a slice in the morning. i almost barfed. not terrible at first, but definitely not good as leftovers.
I've seen Woodstock's over the years as I often visit Firestone Grill and I had the Garlic Fire Chicken pizza that was really good. You can buy by the slice if you don't want a whole pizza. We also had a slice of Mushroom Pizza with plenty of mushrooms! Overall the food was great and not expensive at all. I'd go back...
