We were really looking forward to our 4th of July weekend here, but this RV park ended up being one of the most disappointing camping experiences we’ve ever had. What’s advertised online and in their promotional videos is not what you get in real life — not even close. First, they fail to mention that this is a “dry” campground. We were advised that they cannot control what we do within our camper, but there is no bar anywhere near this campground. Do NOT enter the Boo Boo bear cave early, regardless of what the maintenance crew tells you. I checked in early and was told by the 2 men cleaning up our site that I could put my cooler in the cave while we used the water park before official check in. When I went to finish check in at 4pm I was charged a $65 fee for entering early 🫠 (I originally paid $73 per night) On weekends they don’t allow campers to use the entrance from inside the main office. Lies and half truths. The park was ok, but after purchase of a season pass they decided to make changes to charge for parking. We were told by the manager, in fall of 2024, that the 2025 season would be open later “like 8-10pm”. This was the only reason i agreed and paid for a season pass. They are only open till 7 instead of 6 and now are charging for parking.
