It seems to work way better than the Hayward It seems to work way better than the Hayward.It goes all the way up the sides and doesn't get hung up.We had a Hayward before and it would always get hung up and we were constantly replacing parts.This is a simple design that works great.

New Baracuda G3 - set for another 10 years? Purchased to replace 10-year-old Baracuda G3 that still worked but with hoses and other parts that had become very brittle with age. Works well cleaning bottom of vinyl-lined "volleyball" pool, but rarely climbs the sides at all. Does a good job cleaning up leaves and other tree debris. Replacement parts easy to find. Only issue is wheel deflector that constantly hung up on stairs before permanent removal.

This unit replaces the longest running cleaner I have yet ... This unit replaces the longest running cleaner I have yet to buy, A Baracuda G3! I hope I get the same life out of this one!

so far so good, I used to have dirty pool for week ... so far so good, I used to have dirty pool for week after every storm now its only a day and every thing is back to normal

Four Stars working well for now
Great product--terrible instructions After numerous part replacements on my old Baracuda G3 pool cleaner, it was time for a total replacement. Didn't take long to set up as I just followed my old set up. Biggest difference was the instructions (or lack thereof). Good thing I had owned a previous Baracuda G3 as the current instructions were terrible. I also did not install the circular "wheel deflector" which is supposed to keep the cleaner from getting stuck. The deflector on my previous cleaner was always getting hung up on... read more
