Great cleaner We have an older model Barracuda that we have had for about 6 or 7 years that is in the pool from the time it opens until we close it. Great cleaner for the price. We have a large oval above ground pool with a deep section and the only problem is that occasionally it gets stuck on one of the ladders or might stop occasionally cause the hose gets stuck between the cleaner and the side of the pool. Great cleaner I bought the house we are in and it had a Baracuda cleaner. It was older, but it worked, so, kept it for another 8 years.. I finally bought the G3 and WOW! Cleans great and very efficiently. I hope this one lasts at least 10 years, if not more. I love it!!!
Gets stuck on rocks I replaced our old Kreepy Krauly with this and have had it about a year. So far it cleans ok, just not as good as Kreepy. Does not go up the side walls far enough and does not clean all spots ... not quite as random as random as Kreepy. It does not get stuck on my main drain which is a retrofit cover that is about 1.5 inches tall. We do get small rocks in the pool from the dogs playing and the gardeners weed-wacking. G3 It was easy to install and it works great. Very easy to take apart and clean. One of the best I have ever had and the cost was great.
Love it! I love this pool cleaner! It looks like I used a vacuum cleaner on the pool. Wouldn't use any of those other high priced contraptions with a million parts. I had one of these for many years and thought I would try something else. It costs twice a much and worked half as much. Within 24 hours I returned it and got a Barracuda. So happy I did. My pool is sparkling!

Baracuda G3 Solution As I have been told on a number of occasions, man has little patience and I am no exception. I have had the Baracuda G3 for several years. I replaced a Hayward cleaner with this item and glad I did. The G3 works great until a part is defective or I don't backwash my pool from time to time. The yellow part in the head of the G3 has to be in proper working (no tears or stuck items) in order to be effective. very very good cleaner Great cleaner ,do adjust your suction for it to work wonderfully! It picks up pine needles and palm seed with no issues. Plus if there is bigger debris it tends to circle it up on a tight neat area if easy removal. The only issue is having to replace the diaphram every 12 months or so.
Sludge Sucker This is the best purchase ever for my pool. I live in the desert, aka lots of dust and sand. In a days time, the pool is brown from blowing dust. The cleaner sucks up the sand and sludge or silt mud from the bottom of the pool better than anything I have used before. Fire up this baby and in an hour or so, we have a pool with a white bottom.
