So far, so good Being a first time pool owner, there was a lot of information I had to learn about owning a pool. I do however, know that I dislike a dirty pool or a pool with debris, such as leaves and flowers. Went to Leslie pools and inquired about a pool vacuum and decided on this model based on their recommendations for price and ability. So far I am very pleased with the way in cleans and vacuums the pool. I would recommend this. Lets see how I feel after a year of it being in use frequently.
MX8 Elite is ok After going through 4 complete Kreepy Krauly over a 15 year span and some repair parts here and there, I decided to try something new last year. MX8 Elite cleans very well and climb all the way up to the tile line/surface and completes the whole pool in a 6 hour daily session with spare time to go. Love this cleaner! Was a little reluctant to buy this as we had the MX6 and it was pretty much a waste of money. But what an improvement! We’ve had it a little over a month and it hasn’t gotten caught on the drain or steps. It has an adjustable opening for when you have more leaves which is handy. And the leaf canister is great. The side suction is also great. We are totally impressed with this!
MX8 Elite I had a Zodiac Barracuda cleaner which gave me nothing but problems. It wouldn’t go to the shallow end of the pool. I decided to get a different type this time and the young man suggested the M80 elite. I was very hesitant on buying another Zodiac. He told me it was rated very high and did a great job. I then asked if I didn’t like it could I return it and he said no problem. Needless to say I am not returning it. It is amazing! Climbs walls all the way to the top. Excellent cleaner I went with the MX8 Elite at the recommendation of the staff at Leslie’s and once again they directed me to a great product that works great. I am very pleased with it so far. I have owned a kreepy and a barracuda but the MX8 elite has already out performed both of them.
Works Great Have been using the MX8 for about 6mo now. Does a great job cleaning my pool. At first had some reservations because the pattern seems a little erratic. It would climb the pool wall stay there for a few seconds drop back down to the bottom then come back up the wall to the same place. I thought it stayed at one end of the pool to long. MX8 Replaced the pool guy!! This was the perfect fit for our HUGE L shaped vinyl lined pool. We run it one time a week and it's in the pool for about 24 hours. It climbs all the walls to the top and is able to pick up all the sand & leaves in our pool. Occasionally it gets stuck behind the step in the deep end (that is permanently fixed in the concrete) but once removed it goes back to cleaning. This cleaner does a better job then our pool guy of 10 years did weekly!! Sorry guy you've been replaced.
