Cleans pool well Does a very good job of cleaning the pool. Have not had to spend as much on chemicals already which offsets initial outlay. I only really use it to clean bottom of the pool -my pool is kidney-bean shaped so does not go up the sides probably as efficiently as would in a square pool

Hi Fincat, thanks for the 4 star review. Have you tried changing the pool shape setting on the control box? There is an option for "rectangle pool" and a second option for "freeform" or kidney shaped pool. Simply use the button underneath to illuminate the icon of the freeform pool. This setting will assist with your VX55 4WD cleaning the entrie pool throughly.
Much better than a Creepy Krawly style cleaner Easy to use. Only takes one cycle of 95 mins to clean pool completely. Never gets stuck in corners or on steps.Can tangle near engine despite device to keep line straight. But this is minor.Will pick up large debris that would clog other cleaners. Easy to store out of sight thereby enhancing clean cit appearance of pool &its surrounds

Hi Greg, thanks for the 5 star review! Small tip if you are experiencing cable tangling, only use as much cable for your cleaner to get from one side to the order. Excess cable in the water may cause some tangling.
Smart design. Works very well. Love it. Much better than the previous brand, which gave me grief for 2 years. I sent it back twice for repairs. Zodiac gived 3 year warranty which gives me peace of mind. Bought it from a local store who will be there if we have any issues, So far geat service from my local store.

Cleans the pool perfectly every time without fail Easy to use, pool has never looked so cleaner, picks up the bigger leaves which no other pool cleaner has, it cleans the dust / debris better than any other cleaner we have tried. The price is a little more than most cleaners but is well worth the extra money spent.

Great machine After 8 months we're really happy with the VX55. It cleans bottom and sides including the waterline really well, remote and lift system all work beautifully as advertised. The only flaws are not being able to clean the steps or pool corners (but at least it never gets stuck!), and not picking up the finer dust. 8x4m fibreglass pool.

Met expectations and promises Filter makes pool clearer and lessens load on skimmer as it cleans the edges too. A hook accessory, to assist lift, may be a good idea for we oldies, but not essential. A brush insert into the scrubbers would assist with ingrained dirt but general performance excellent to all size debris.

Designs Could have been thought out better Good easy wash / big filter. got sludge of pool quickly, Why have remote lifter and stand at other end of pool and get no response . It is stuck at far corner in deep end.!! So have to retrieve it by the lead anyway.. I have pushed lift.. retrieved it, removed the filter and it starts up again. Has not cleaned sides on half the pool (yet) like all paid labour easier to do it your self and get it done properly. Had it 2weeks. Hi Brazz, Thanks for the 4 star review and for your Feedback. If you hold down the "lift system" button, the cleaner will rotate. Release the button when the cleaner is facing your direction. The cleaner will then move to climb up that wall and expel water from the exhaust ready to be easily removed from the pool. Hope this helps!
Happy Purchase Read all the reviews on this and other cleaners. Had a KreepyKrawly when we bought the house in 2003, tried something else when that broke then bought another kreepy several years ago. Real issues with the KK as the hose tangles and it stays at one end of the pool. Had the KK in all winter and then, when I pulled the cover off the pool - yuk. So - day one, after a single clean, it's a good start for the VX55 4WD. It does what it is advertised as doing and I'm looking forward to a few more goes to get the walls... read more

Good for leaves and sand... useless for fine dust Just bought a Zodiac VX55 with 100 Micon filter (additional cost!!!!) It works well: climbs and brushes the walls, vaccums leaves and small particles perfectly. We run it every 2 days for 30 mn in a 10 mm pool. It is easy to use, clean and store. No tangle with the wire, not heavy.. Everything you need or almost... I am very disappointed and have to revert to the traditional vacuming when it comes to the fine dust.
