The shrimp and fish tasted like it had been cooked and then left hanging over grease. Was tough and chewy.
Over priced oysters. 18.00 for a raw dz. got the salmon grilled came out raw. Sent it back came out a lot better. But they sent out the same veggies and rice with it and they were cold by then. First time I’ve been there in a few years guess I won’t be going back
The oysters were over cooked. I heard the same thing at a different restaurant from another couple. This "other" restaurant gets 5 stars. However, the service and employees are very nice and hospitable.
I was there this pass weekend. I ordered a drink from the bar and paid for it when I ordered it. I decided to go ahead and eat at the bar. After eating I received my bill and the drink was on my bill again. I told them it was paid for the three girls behind the bar told me that I was lying and said you didn’t pay. I went through my purse and found the receipt and showed where I had paid. She threw my receipt at me and told me to just leave. Cheaping out and using Asian Swai fish instead of local gulf fish or catfish is NOT OK! I will be telling everyone I know not to eat at Acme. So disappointed in Acme Oyster House.
I had the opportunity to visit this place and I was so disappointed! I ordered the Fish Platter to go and it was s HOT MESS! The young lady who waited on me was very pleasant, however I noticed that she had a bag in her hand (not knowing it was my food) and she was just handling the bag any kind of way. Very disappointed in our meal tonight. Had been looking forward to getting the char grilled oysters for over a month and they were over so over cooked and so much Parmesan that I was upset that I wasted my money on them. The oysters in the fries platter weren’t good either. The only thing that I liked was the New Orleans medley sampler plate. Probably the last time we will go here. �
So much hype going here! All the way from Houston! Ordered 1/2 dozen raw oysters, and immediately 1st bits was so griddy and dirty... thought okay just one bad one... next one same thing. Got sick . Paid $10 for 2 bites. Not impressed from all the hype.
I had the charbroiled oysters and they was dirty. There was a crunch in every bite. Nothing on the menu really jumped out at me. No originality and it's suppose to be a franchise....
