wasn't impressed..i ordered a shrimp and oystet poboy it was ok...but i bit into what i thought was a staple..i called our waiter an imformed him..he took my plate to the manager..she came to us and said it was part of the fry basket she apologized but it did not seem very sincere in fact she seemed bothered that she had to come to our table..seems like we should have gotten a discount or free dessert or somthing...I WILL NOT be goin back to that restaurant

When you move away from New Orleans, you move away from the food. You can challenge me, but you'll lose.

I started with a dozen raw oysters which were good. My server told me the fish of the day was Swai and it was a local fish. I looked it up and it isn't. Upon further questioning my server claimed to be misinformed, but at least she checked and was in error. She further admitted every thing at Acme except the oysters and popcorn shrimp are imported. I will never go back to Acme Oyster House again.

The food was good, not great. Server was friendly, but some parts of our service were a bit slow.

I will say I enjoyed the taste of the chargrilled oysters. They were a tiny bit grainy and not thoroughly cleaned but still tasted good. Unfortunately the rest of the restaurant left a LOT to be desired. The inside was very dirty. The restrooms had the ICK-Factor Goin on. I was seated at a very wobbly table and got up and switch tables on my own initiative. And the service while polite, was rather quite slow and MIA asking for things. It seems like asking for a simple glass of water with lemons or limes and it can be a BIG... read more

I will say the chargrill oysters were really good. The bartender could not make a Absolute Dirty Martini - sent two of them back. On the third try she spilled it in front of me at the bar. My entree took quite awhile, I had the Martini and a Heineken still no entree. I decided to leave and suddenly the entree miraculously appeared. I declined the take-out offer, paid my bar tab and left. I will not go back to this location.
