A few years ago we started bringing our family pets to Acoaxet ...it is the best thing we could have done. Everyone there has been so nice to work with and kind when things have been difficult or sad. The experiences with our two elderly pets meant that we had some extra time with them because of the care they received. When pets are family then you want the best for them. Highly recommend this great place for care giving.
My dog has been a patient for years. He is 16, blind, deaf, and is in heart failure. He needed a refill for his anti-inflammatory eye drops that he has had prescribed for over a decade. After almost 10 hours in between my calls, I was told Dr. Grossi was too busy to refill his prescription but would at the end of her day (which through experience wasn’t going to trust). As we discussed with you the day of your request, prescription refills require a doctor’s authorization and our team informed you several times over the phone that as soon as the doctor had completed their scheduled appointments, we would process your refill. When you showed up at our office, the prescription had already been faxed to CVS just before your arrival and we handed you the written copy. Acoaxet Veterinary clinic has new ownership. No notices were sent out. Rx are generic medications now. Fees have increased and new fees for routine laboratory work, technican fees have been implemented. Many new faces. My pet deserves the best care I can afford. After 11 years I am searching for a private practice rather than a corporate owned money hungry giant that has acquired many animal clinics and hospitals in the area. Be aware of generic drugs, vaccinations, in constant lab work and high turn over of staff.

I used this clinic for my dog of 16 years and currently my dog we adopted at 5 and she is now 12. I have watched this office decline throughout the years so much so that when I bought my German Shepherd a few years back bringing her here wasn't an option. I visited a couple of weeks ago and the vet tech seemed like she knew nothing about the job and messed up my dogs shots so they had to come back in a second time to do one and half the vaccine didn't get in her nose, overcharged me on supplies I didn't need after misleading... read more
Just had our dog spayed. The way it was supposed to go was not how it went. The price that was discussed more than twice ended up being twice as much. There were no problems, Just "wrong prices" were discussed. And the minimally invasive surgery wasn't so minimal. Even though that was also discussed multiple times.
