The only thing that happened that I was a little surprised about was when one of the hoses detached from the plastic straw and hit the floor, it was not cleaned with alcohol before being reattached to the straw and used on my daughter's mouth.

We take pride that our office uses the most advance sterilization techniques and we follow universal precautions. Our office exceeds all established criteria for cleanliness. It is important to note that the straw used in your child's mouth was replaces with a new straw. The base does not come in contact with the patient but we agree that it should also have been cleaned. We have reviewed all sterilization procedures with our staff and doctors.
