We are very grateful for your positive influence on our son. He has been doing great since coming back home. The best testimony to your influence is how much our son talks about the different staff members and visiting speakers and other students. He wants to call back and visit. Thank you very much for all your hard work. We thank the Good Lord for all. And are so happy to have our son home. more »

Agape Boarding School was our last hope to save our son's future. As a parent you never want to be in this position where you have to send your son away in order to keep him safe as well as the rest of your family. I knew we had a good boy who had lost his way and Agape helped him find his way back God, to us, and remember all those important values he was taught. We would recommend Agape to anyone that is in a similar situation. My son has told me that he is going to miss Agape dearly. He made life long friends and the staff truly take an interest in helping these boys grow. God is working through the Clemensen family, entire staff, and the boys in a way that keeps me in awe. Thank you for everything you have done for us! more »

Our son was already 17 when he began his stay at Agape. He had started his senior year failing school and in trouble with the police. A judge gave him the option of attending Agape or going through the legal system. He chose the school. He didn't like it much the first few months, but slowly began to see the benefits of being there. He has completed his studies, graduated and best of all got baptized. He has been home for about 5 weeks and is adjusting well. He is getting his driver's license, a car and has been working. He plans to enroll in a carpentry apprenticeship program this fall. The school and staff kept in us informed of our son's progress. They did wonders with him in just 8 months. We enjoyed the several visits to the campus. We had been praying for many months for an answer to the pain of watching our son spin out of control. Agape was just the answer we were looking for, praise God. more »

It has been my privilege for many years now to preach to the boys at Agape Boarding School. It is very evident that the entire staff takes their job very seriously and they have a genuine love for each and every boy in the academy. I'm thrilled for what the boys are taught in the classroom but even more thrilled to know the Bible is the main text book being taught here. I sure would of saved myself and my family a whole lot of grief and heartache if I would of known of Agape when I was a teenager. Thank God for this wonderful place. more »

My son came home with respect for authority he desperately needed and a closer relationship with Christ. He can also maintain self control when he is becoming upset and appears to let the little things go. more »

Agape was a blessing to my family. My son was very difficult, extremely defiant and I thought I had lost all control to which the relationship would never be repaired. I was a devastated mother. Agape did a 100 % turn around. My son was there for 18 months and he was able to work on himself in an environment that is conducive for change especially without outside forces that can be a deterrent for change when at home. The men that work there at Agape are a true asset, and role models for these young boys who really need their guidance. I couldn't say enough wonderful things about Agape, and my heart will always be indebted to them!!! more »

I came in to contact with Agape Boarding School in 2010 while attending their July 4th festivities. Since that time I have been to Agape on numerous occasions. Where I have also been met by a staff member who works to care for my needs. I have had the privilege to work alongside the men as they have worked with the student body. I have witnessed firsthand their love for the students as well as their desire to help them become the young men that God created them to be. I high recommend Agape Boarding School. Brother Clemensen and the staff have a heart for the LORD and the work that God has given them. It is a first class facility, a first class program, run in a first class way. more »

we sent our son to Agape in January of his freshman year. He was out of control and ungovernable. The staff at Agape are amazing. The school exceeded our expectations and turned our son around. He just graduated in may 2017. We highly recommend Agape. more »

As a single parent, one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make was to send my son to a boarding school. Although he was not into drugs or gangs, he was having severe problems with his temperament and going to school. Agape taught him self discipline and a willingness to take on responsibilities. Now, he is working toward graduation and his future is looking bright. The staff have become like a second family to my son. more »

It is for boys who had problems with other schools. Yes, it has its faults (like any place) and it's not for everyone, but they have helped a lot of people over the years -- people who might not have made it elsewhere. more »

Agapè was a life saver for my family. They have mentored and helped me get on the right track, when I came on June 17th, 2016 I really had no plans for a future rather than to just do drugs and flake out of school, I had just recently left and now I'm on the right track to graduate this year, no drug interest and the staff there really cared and helped me some of them are close enough to be family. Thanks agape for the help! more »

I went here. Good school for kids who have crappy parents. Did I love it here? No, but it saved me from a crappy life back at home. Former students who gave bad reviews came from rich families who spoiled them.
You don't have to believe in God when you're there. They don't physically force you, but you are required to attend church and read the Bible. I believe it's good to experience and explore religion even if you eventually decide to not believe in it later on.
My only complaint is the education curriculum was dead easy. I literally finished 4 years of high school work in the year and a half I was there. The education there did not prepare me well for science or engineering degrees.

As active members of Agape Baptist Church, we have regularly observed Agape Boarding School students in church services, church activities, and Agape Baptist College classes. It has been a blessing to see Agape staff's love and dedication to these young men. Agape's Christ-centered programs provide the structure, Bible teaching, and quality education desperately needed by these students. In addition, church members love and support these young men, in many ways. We highly recommend Agape Boarding School!

It's been over 10 years since my last visit to the Agape Boarding School. It was great ten years ago, and it's greater today than it was then. Thankful for the Clemenson's and the staff's labor of love with these young men!!'

I have known the Clemensons for over 30 years when they first started the ministry to help young people. They have always demonstrated a genuine care and desire to help young people. That desire was then and now to provide the the best program and facilities to fulfill that desire. My recent visit to the facilities in Missouri was to say the least an incredible place where their God given vision 30 years ago has reached even more than they could have thought. I would highly recommend their work and ministry without any reservation or hesitation. more »

I am a IT consultant and manage the IT here at Agape and spend a lot of time when I am onsite walking around the main office and the campus, working with many of the staff members and seeing the boys moving to and from classrooms.
The staff members are all very nice people, and I can see that they are happy with the work they do. Some of the staff members are even formally students, to me that says something. Years ago I had a rep for one of my major suppliers tell me after he found out I was in Stockton, that he attended Agape, and he had nothing but nice things to say about his stay there as a boy.
The boys that are sent here appear to be happy and engaged in their studies. I know they feed them well because I walk through the cafeteria and smell the next meal and have even shared several meals with them. The kitchen is in plain view of everyone in the cafeteria and have had to walk through the kitchen and food storage areas to access IT equipment. These areas are clean and well kept.
As a member of the Stockton community I also get to see the good they do for the community. They bring out boys to help people in need get some much needed yard work done or move. This is good for the boys in turn as they get to serve others.
Annually they put on a fantastic 4th of July celebration that my family looks forward too every year.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place the experience teaching me to work and be responsible, and the Lord, the men there are amazing, but how some of them are treated is ridiculous just watching it i realize how most the kids thought it was OK to challenge authority. the school was great and so were the teachers, but i always struggled in school so i was told i wasn't tying and was punished with more school and eventually broke and didn't do school at all, i was a great worker in and outside when i wasn't school work that is all i could do, when i turned 18 in 2014 i got so sick of being told i wasn't trying and i wasn't allowed to work i did the childish thing without out proper support a decision i regret after four years of Agape i left, i do thanks you all for the Lord and teaching me to be respectful young man i hope that in the future you will give some kids the more help because some of them like me need it so they do not just make the decision to leave and know they have support love this place, Love the Lord always. more »

Agapé Boarding School offers a wide variety of opportunities for troubled boys. We help boys get back on the right track toward a bright future. We provide accredited academics, counseling, mentoring, sports, and many of the activities that boys enjoy. We are one of the lowest cost boarding schools for troubled teens in America. Agapé offers the same (if not better) quality and outcomes as the more costly therapeutic boarding schools. In fact, we are about 1/3rd the cost.

Th sprawling ranch campus of Agape Boarding School, located in Missouri, is an amazing place with multiple sports facilities, a huge game room, pool, dozens of horses (including equine therapy), a vast array of exotic and farm animals, a rodeo facility, and so much more. The approach here is very disciplined and structured, but loving, relational and caring. Our belief is that a truly changed heart ultimately comes from a personal relationship with God.
