Dr. Premkumar is friendly, professional and a skilled surgeon. About 3 days after surgery, I was off pain medication; had no pain from the hip surgery. It’s been 3.5 weeks and I can put my full weight on my hip, slowly walk without a cane or walker. I am amazed, and wondering why I took so long to have the surgery. Thank you, Dr. Premkumar. You have given me my life back.
Dr. Premkumar is an excellent skilled surgeon. I had my right knee replaced in August 2022 in another state and things did not go so well. It was an awful experience for me. Said I would never have surgery on my other knee. But while I was going through therapy my left knee went out. So I came back to GA to see my orthopedic Dr and because my knee was so bad he wanted me to go to Emory. I am so thankful I did. I wanted my knee fixed so that I would be able to walk again. Dr. Premkumar's communication was exceptional! He was patient and ensured I fully understood the procedure and what to expect. Dr. Premkumar personally called the night before my surgery and answered those questions you only think of after your visit, which helped to calm some of my fears. I was in extreme pain when I first met with Dr. Premkumar, he took his time explaining the hip replacement process to me in great detail and made me feel very comfortable about the procedure. Dr Premkumar was my miracle!!! I had been to 4 other doctors that were giving me the run around. Dr Ajay saw me first time and came in with surgery papers. I was pasted ready for surgery. He did my left hip first, then 3 months later my knee. When it is time for my other hip and knee, Dr Ajay is my GO TO doctor. No one else. Dr. Premkumar replaced my hip. He did a great job! I feel it’s now the best joint in my body. Dr. Premkumar is the consummate professional. He was very concerned about the condition of my hip and genuinely wanted to help improve my quality of life, which he did. When he was with me in the office, I felt I was all that mattered at that moment.
