Buyer Beware: Paid Aladdin/Kilowatt (The SEER Group) $40k for a system. They damaged my property and are now refusing to perform warranty repairs unless I allow office staff to 'monitor' the visit. They are ignoring emails to corporate and blocking technical service. Completely unprofessional and potentially unlawful under CA warranty laws. Filing with the CSLB today. Stay away!
I had an appointment window of 1-3 PM. The serviceman didn't show until after 6:30 PM. So, I wasn't a happy camper about that. But as far as the service itself goes, BEN MACIEL was a very nice, helpful, courteous serviceman. He came to do a yearly servicing of our air conditioning. And whatever he did, I can honestly say I don't remember our air conditioning ever being as cold as it is now, and seeming to reach into areas of the house that it hadn't before. I had a great experience with Aladdin Heating and Air. Michael, was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He made sure I understood my options and was never pushy, just genuinely focused on finding the best solution for our needs. The turnaround time was impressively fast, and the whole installation process was smooth and efficient.
We called Aladdin out to fix our heater that wasn't working as we had used them once in the past. Our service technician was great. Very professional, informative and knowledgeable. He thought he'd fixed the problem, but when we turned it on the next day, it wasn't working again. He had to come out again the following day and Aladdin charged us another $89 for a service visit, ouch. I was astonished how terrible their pricing was recently since they had been so fair years ago. Almost $1200 to install two sensi touch pad thermostats. $135.99 each at home depot, I could install in under an hour. Declined and paid their $89 service call. They could have told me over the phone. It was bothering me so I googled "who owns Aladdin Air" and was quite surprised. Now I understand the outrageous rates. Look elsewhere for a family owned, like Aladdin used to be.
