I started coming to Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital 6 years ago from another vet that almost killed my dog. i cannot say enough about the amazing level of care and treatment I receive here. I have 2 special needs dogs, one with deadly allergies who has gone into Anaphylactic shock and another with various cardiac problems. Needless to say, with those 2 I spend quite a bit of time at the vets office. They have opened early and stayed open late for me on more than one occasion. My dogs have been coming here for over 10 years and I can not say enough wonderful things about the care from Dr. Lannis and Dr. Dupree. They go out of their way to make sure you understand you pet's condition and all the options. They care so much that I was actually given Dr. Lannis' cell phone number just in case there was a problem over the weekend. The techs are friendly and knowledgeable and I always receive a follow up call to make sure my pet is doing ok.
I havent had a bad expierence here yet. I love Dr. Lannes! She is amazing and really seems to care about my 2 dogs. They are very attentive. I do have to say they do call quite a bit to follow up to check up on after a visit, but others might find that comforting to know they care.
I had my dog in twice once on a Tuesday and once on a Thursday in one week. She had stopped eating and I was very concerned. The veterinarians did not seem concerned and just seemed to blow it off. When I came home from church Sunday morning, she was dead. They missed leptospirosis. Don't ever go to this animal hospital unless you want to lose your pet.

Terrible, I would not recommend this place. They do not care about animals only money. I called to inform them that I was running a few minutes late to the appointment. Rather than calling back they waited until I got there to tell me that they would charge me $100 extra to see my dog. I do not recommend this place if you are concerned for your dog's health.
Don't fall for them selling their daycare. If I could go back I would've never left my dog there. The place should literally shutdown. Dog was attacked in the daycare they own and then they tried to charge us for the vet fees! The employees at the daycare were not properly trained for this situation as they should be BECAUSE THEY WORK AT A DOGGY DAYCARE! Before I could even make an appointment they told me there was a $66.00 down payment which I refused to pay and have never been asked to do that at any other vet practice before. This is not good business. Go somewhere else!
On 8/17 at 11:00 I had an appointment with my French Bulldog, Aria. Upon arrival, the receptionist said that the technician would give her scheduled shots. I had made an appointment, not a tech intervention. I needed to see the doctor due to an eczema problem and was told this was not a "real"appointment and I had to make another, "real" one to see the doctor. Loved the place on the first visit. Left a raving review..then we went back week later for a bath and nail trim..when i picked my little guy up he was frantic..they hadnt taken him out to bathroom even 1 time he had been there for 8 hrs. So then I call to bring him in with a health issue..serious health issue ...the office manager talks right over you so rude said shes answering other calls and its gonna be 10 days befor he can be seen.
