Placed at a table facing bright sunshine, hostess suggested wearing sun glasses. Until sun went down which was 40 minutes later. Food was warm at best when served. Have eaten here several times and thus dining experience was not up to the standards you would expect at this restaurant. Disappointing! Have always dined here while in HHI but am not sure I will go back again.

We love Alexander's, great atmosphere, the view of the stream passing by, the ambiance, and the staff are all great. The prime rib was a bit tough which is unusual as I have had it several times previously. We'll certainly be back!

We went last night for dinner and overall we’d sum it up with “it was so-so”. Not terrible, the food was fine, but not great. Our server was very pleasant but service itself was average. The place lacks ambience and doesn’t live up to its marketing which depicts it as more upscale. It definitely not that. Overall a very forgettable meal and experience.

We have a 40 year of tradition of eating here our first night in Hilton Head (we've even gone back, if we're there for two weeks). It never disappoints. Overlooking a lagoon is lovely, the food is always one of the best meals we have (and we have many). Service is excellent. I always include a comment on my reservation and they always know it and take care of it. Service is excellent. If you don't eat here, you've missed one of the best restaurants on the island.
