Alexander’s is, in our opinion, the best restaurant on Hilton Head Island. We were greeted as we entered the restaurant by Jimmy, whom I took to be the manage, and promptly escorted our our table. We had excellent service provided by our server, David, and he made sure we had everything we wanted. The sea bass, which was that evening special, was excellent and serviced at the right eating temperature. Great bartender (Eric) helped start the evening off as we waited for our reservation time with a couple terrific cocktails. Donna took good care of us during our meal and the veal and featured sea bass were delicious. As we were there during the darker hours of the evening, we didn’t get to take advantage of the water views, but we were seated right along the inlet.
Sun was shining directly onto me. I asked if shade could be lowered and was told it could not. That should be fixed. The next time, I’ll ask to be moved to another table rather than suffer through it. The meal was good and quite a value, but we felt very rushed. Entree came before I finished my salad. And, someone tried to pick our plates up before we were finished.
