Dinner tasted good; not memorable. I had hoped for a little better based on other reviews. The pimento cheese & cracker appetizer was flat - no spiciness that you would expect from pimento cheese. However, Grouper main course was good. Despite a reservation made 3 weeks in advance on Open Table, I was only offered a table in the bar .... or wait. I accepted the bar (that's on me), but poor reservations management was the root cause. Missed the ambience of the main dining room.

We were a party of 4 adults. When Alexander’s was under previous ownership, we ate there often with each trip to Hilton Head. Several yrs. ago, under new ownership, we felt it had gone way downhill. Decided to give it another go last night. Everyone was happy with their meals except for me. I got weiner schnitzel which was always my favorite. It was almost inedible.
